Pest hunting again. There was an unfortunate rodent problems in one of the cover warehouses Rocket upkept, and it came down to him to clear it out with whoever had been voluntold to do it with him. He had a perosnal grudge after the pests here had gotten too bold, running further and fuether out i to the city a d STEALING food. He already had to worry about Wingulls butnow this? "Where the hell is thay pink little prick. Yoy OWE ME A CHURRO!" he shouted as he kicked over some trash. Caciowas at his side sniffing through to help best he could. "Dulce de leche, too" he added with a pout at his pokemon as the panther looked up at him.

Pest control hadn’t been what she thought she would be doing right now. But when someone had asked for help, she had felt inclined to answer their prayer. That’s why she had now entered one of the many cover warehouses owned by Team Rocket.

Behind her, a Golden-headed Bewear talked menacingly. Eyes slowly peering around, trying to find anything which could prove a danger to its trainer.

She heard the sound of someone nearby shouting. The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn’t quite place where she had heard it. She figured she would remember who it was once she saw the person. And so she headed towards the shouting-personage. Bewear ready to UNNERVE whatever might gaze upon it or its trainer along the way.

Mint turned his head in the darkness, a flashlight darting over the floor before finding feet and then slowly moving up. His scowl softened into a friendly smile as he recognized Johanna before quickly morphing into mouth open horror as he revealed the Bewear's face and yelped backwards. "H-HELLO?!" he said before clearing his throat. "A-Are you....you know...? Hunting rodents?" he asked, trying to word it in a way that maybe covertly asked if she was in Rocket or just urban exploring.

Maybe they should’ve brought a flashlight that might’ve been smart. Alas, Johanna had not considered the notion, and merely used the flashlight on her phone for the purpose, though it wasn’t the best.

Johanna was heading for the sound of the other person. But while they walked. Bewear lacked behind. Having noticed the Houndour stalking them, clearly hunting them. Bewear allowed Johanna to go ahead, she did not notice her companion lacking behind

The Bewear quietly confronts the Houndour. It was about to HOWL for help, but before it could even make a yelp, the HAMMER ARM of justice bore down upon it. Knocking it out. The Bewear then took a secure hold on the back of its head and dragged the Houndour with it.

Finally catching up to its trainer just as she met up with Mint.

“Oh hey there!” Johanna greeted enthusiastically. A bit confused by the sudden turn from a friendly smile to horror. She turned to look behind her, the light of Mint’s flashlight hitting the Bewear just right. She screeched in terror. But then she realized that it was her Bewear and quickly calmed down.

Meanwhile, the Bewear just stood there, its face not betraying any emotions. It was used to this prejudice against its specie.

“Wait, what’s that you got there?” Finally noticing the thing it held in its hand. The Bewear lifted the Houndour into the air right in front of the pair using only its head. The Pokémon was knocked out. A sense of dread washed over Johanna, not because she was afraid the Bewear would treat her like that, but because that was doing the Houndour no good. “No, no. You don’t lift someone like that.” She quickly moved in to grab the Pokémon, cradling it like a newborn against her shoulder. The Bewear knew the dangers but allowed his trainer to do it. While holding the Houndour in one hand, she retrieved a Pokéball and gently nudged it against the canine Pokémon, initiating the capture process.

She turned to Mint. “I am sorry. That one’s mine.” She nodded in the direction of the Bewear. “And yeah, I am here to help with some Rodents. Have you seen any, yet?” At the mentioning of Rodents the Bewear’s ears perked, clearly wanting to hunt.

He's relieved that she was at least still friendly, despite the looming pokemon. It calmed his panic a bit. The Bewear didn't seem super jumpy either, simply staring down at him and his trainer. Oh ok...cool. His eyes moved to the poor Houndour and how the pokemon was handling it. He can't help burst laughing as Johanna took the pup away form her partner. "Oh my gods, you're great." he said pointing at the tall bear before looking back at Johanna as she caught her quarry.

"It's fine. They're cute. When it's not super dark out and their eyes flash." he said with a friendly smile. He nodded. "I thought I saw this little pink one that tried sneaking off with more of my food. Apparently it's a nest in here...and they're starting to leak into the city...and we don't want real pest control or even the police sniffing around." he explained with a shrug. "But I think we're bound to bum into something if we just keep walking." he said as he pointed his food at an old looking crate. "Gnaw marks." he stated before nodding in the direction he'd been headed. "Let's keep looking around. How are you by the way?" He asked as Cacio darted off into the dark as he head a weird thumping noise. In the darkness, an angry looking Qwilfish seemed to have wandered in somehow and was trying to bounce back to freedom. Cacio batted it against a wall repeatedly, mildly curious before picking it up by the back fin and taking it back to Mint for capture.

It seemed Mint thought the less than ideal handling of the Houndour, and the subsequent reaction from Johanna to be mildly amusing. She tried not to let his laugh bother her. He wasn’t judging her, this she had to remind herself.

Mint then began to explain the situation, something about a nest in here. She nodded as a reply. Figuring he needed no more than that for the moment. That was until Mint asked how she was doing. She hadn’t actually been expecting small talk, but now that he was asking, she would indulge him. “I am doing pretty alright.” She paused before returning the question right back to Mint. “How about you?” She gave him a smile, even if it was barely noticeable in this atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Bewear walked off, having seemingly caught a whiff of something. He went to check it out. But found nothing. But when he returned to his trainer, he saw a Weavile trying to pickpocket Johanna. Furious at the audacity it launched into a swift attack, bearing the Hammer Arm of Justice down upon the desperate Weavile.

Johanna almost jumped in surprise as she only noticed the sound of the impact right behind her. Quickly turning around she saw only the Bewear standing furiously atop the Weavile, alas his face betraying not a hint of emotion. “Again?!” She spoke loud, some mild disappointment in her voice. She retrieved a Pokéball from her pocket and sent it towards the Weavile, for as resident Joy, she felt compelled to bring all those who became wounded at her expense with her.

"A little hungry, a little annoyed, but overall pretty ok." he said with a small laugh. This would be too bad. After all how long would it take to clear out pests? The smell in the air changed as they moved into what he thought was a particularly moldy corner. "Eugh...maybe this is why pests get in! It's run down- there's no ventilation- it's- AHHH!" he shouted, jumping back.

Of of the darkness a sleepy Gloom got up and began toddling away, scurrying awkwardly but trying to avoid being caught. "Ugh....walking mold...." Mint said with a grown. "They'll need to send actual cleaners out here not...grunt and the like." he whined as Cacio again pressed forward, leading the party.

Having caught yet another Pokémon. She turned her attention to the words Mint spoke. Now the state he described was not one unknown to her. Albeit she had little which would allow her to relieve him of either hunger or annoyance.

They reached an especially bad corner. Mold had claimed the corner or waited. Taking another look revealed that it was a Pokémon that they had confused for mold. Said Pokémon didn’t stay, chosen instead to waddled away. “Yeah, this place definitely needs an actual team of cleaners to go through it.” She replied. Her eyes returned to where the Gloom waddled away from. A hint of a lightish blue stood in stark contrast to the backdrop.

A wild Nidorina laid upon the ground, knocked out. She slowly approached it, kneeling down right in front of it before she placed a hand in front of its mouth and felt the weak sensation of the breath. Though she dared not touch it too much in case of poisoning. She retrieved an empty Pokéball. Her best cause of action would be to capture it and take it with her to the nearest PokéCenter since it didn’t seem to be physically hurt.

"Yeah...we'll just try to run out whatever we can and call it a day." he explained. This place was too big and too decrepit for just two of them. Even with a whole team of pokemon, they needed disposal units, and a lot of chemicals.

Throughout the gloom a larger threat presented itself. A Bisharp, glaring at the group. Cacio snarled immediately, INTIMIDATEing her before launching forward with a WILD CHARGE to knock it back quickly and swiftly. They topple over and Cacio stomped a paw on top of them and roared before waiting for Mint to toss a ball for a catch. "Kinda...worrisome that we might see bigger pokemon in here." he added, looking back at Johanna. "Stay on guard, we'll bail if we see too much. They can send in a bigger team of pros for this." After all, it wasn't their fault if this place had fallen into disrepair.

With Nidorina caught the two trainers continued on the path.

The more Johanna saw of this place, the more it became evident that this place was beyond lost to them. Pokémon was roaming about as if this was but another part of nature. Mint had to deal with a Bisharp of all things.

Luckily Johanna took some safe distance to the class, protected in kind by her Bewear. However, she would not be left alone for long. A little Trubbish waddled up to her. A bag of trash in hand. It greeted her kindly and then rummaged through its bag of trash only to find a treasure, which it would kindly offer her.

What it retrieved was an egg, somehow still whole.

“Uh, thanks?” Johanna said nervously as she took the egg. These were indeed trying times, so she appreciated it.

The Trubbish then pointed at one of her Pokéballs.

“Do you want to join my team?”

It nodded enthusiastically.

And so she took the red and white sphere, gently nudging it against the living pile of treasure in front of her. Activating its capture mechanism.
